There are negative opinions in the hip hop world of artists who are multisyllabic and some of those takes are with good reason. There are those artists who are multisyllabic for the sake of being wordy, flowery and verbose. Then there are those who are multisyllabic because their writing is dense and has lyrical value outside of the hip hop/track world. There are those who have complex thought and an ability to portray a concept with depth through strong writing. This particular artist is not verbose without reason and his musical style is something of an enigma in the current landscape as it does not cater to trends but rather approaches music through genuine self expression.

Steady Dope is that artist. HIs latest track Fxck 2024 is a running concept starting with the initial track Fxck 2022 and the follow up Fxck 2023 and now with the most current Fxck 2024. Some might say his writing and musical style is of the Horror Core variety but rather this artist is direct, aggressive and dark with intent. There are very few responses to the current world of hip hop and its trends but this is a real approach. Fxck 2022 discusses the disgust with the current rap world and his lyrical ability flexing on the competition. The follow up track in the series Fxck 2023 is equally as real. He opens the track with a response to those who would besmirch his name and how he demands his presence be understood and acknowledged as top tier. His rhyme schemes are multisyllabic but not without reason, the density of concepts/metaphors and description is something to be revered.

The latest track in the series is Fxck 2024 and with a tumultuous time that it is the track is appropriately dark in production with his signature rhyme cadence. He speaks with intent on his lyrical prowess and his description is graphic. The artist is able to be a bar centric artist without gimmick and without the holier than thou attitude that some multisyllabic rappers can exhibit. The artistic quality of his music is bar none and to date he is a gem in the southwest hip hop scene.
