Music is the great escape. The comfort of a populace who is plagued by time demands, work loads, busy schedules, and an everlasting threat of displeasure and stress. We all run about working ourselves to death and without music life wouldn’t be worth a damn. This is our solace, our happy place.
RIPWILLIAMS is that! It’s music, it’s a feeling, it’s funk music, it’s rock and roll, it’s unadulterated joy with vibes of relaxation, voltaic and exhilarating. And even more it is a spectacle to behold live. The group creates music that feels very Southwest but also feels universal. The artists that comprise the band are all musicians and writers in their own right. With bands, groups and collectives that are well known throughout the city of Albuquerque and state of New Mexico. If you happen to meet them you’ll get to see their musical influence in their personality. RIPWILLIAMS is the music that is the soundtrack to now and to the summer of our wild times.
