The world is a machine, a complex machine, with many moving parts all coordinated to create a semi-functionable living arrangement amongst its billions of inhabitants. Yet some of those people don’t fit the mold, they can’t be a 9-5 worker, they can’t particiapte in the co-signing of a society that doesn’t work for them, for their values and morals. The rarity of a creator who balks at the system and stands firm in living on their own terms is a sight to see. Collectively we all want to know how that life is experienced if it’s us or just for them. When we want to dance with the ideas of freedom and imagination we court these philosophies by consuming their art, we let our spirits acknowledge theirs by participating in their world. This is Random.

Random is a creator, he participates in the world of battle rap, he draws, he travels, he writes poetry, he is a multi-talented artist. He’s the kind of artist to sit down with a typewriter in New Orleans, or to travel to Mexico to paint murals or travel to a desert at sundown to rap.

Random’s battles are as much of a spectacle as his art. His laid back approach with multi-layered bars with complex metaphor and similie allow him to be somewhat of a rule breaking figure here as well. His writing approach can be somewhat literary at times but definitely without losing any edge of punch effect during his rounds.

Random’s poetic style is nomadic and free of convention in a Walt Whitman and A.R. Ammons type of way. Some sort of confluence of hipster and hippie chic that blends together with some layer of psychedelia. If you are ever in a picturesque downtown or historic district you might find Random with a typewriter plugging away, making poetry for people, a transient, temporary art made to be considered and consumed by the person whom it is written for.

The only thing that hasn’t been seen from the various artistic avenues of Random is music. What type of music would Random make? What other avenues of art can this one person explore? It is yet to be told, the future is Random.
